Prep

Prep is now compulsory in Queensland.

To be eligible to attend prep children must turn five years of age by the end of June in the year they start prep and proof of age must be presented on enrolment. Our expectation is that Prep Year students are dropped off and collected by an adult everyday for at least the first term.  Parents and carers must stay with their children until commencement of the school day at 8.45am unless otherwise arranged with the school principal.

Prep students engage in the Australian Curriculum. Children attend prep five days a week and follow the same timetable as the rest of the school.

For most of the year Prep students play within the Prep area however, by the end of the year students are introduced to the year 1 / 2 play area.

To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.
